Pinarello Treviso (1978-1980)
Introduced in the late 1970s, the Pinarello Treviso reflected the rapid rise of Cicli Pinarello as one of Italy's premier racing bicycle manufacturers. Named after the historic city of Treviso, where Giovanni "Nani" Pinarello founded the company in 1953, the model embodied the craftsmanship and racing pedigree that had already earned the marque international recognition.
Produced between 1978 and 1980, the Treviso was a high-quality racing frame built for serious club riders and amateur competitors. Constructed from lightweight Columbus  double-butted steel tubing, it featured finely crafted investment-cast lugs, fast race geometry and the meticulous hand-finishing for which Pinarello became renowned. Early examples typically featured painted forks and stays, with the distinctive chromed chain stay appearing on later versions.
The Treviso was commonly equipped with Campagnolo Super Record or Nuovo Record components, combining elegant Italian engineering with exceptional reliability. Its responsive handling, smooth ride and efficient power transfer made it equally suited to road racing, sportive and fast club riding.
Today, the 1978-1980 Pinarello Treviso is recognised as one of the finest Italian steel racing bicycles of its era.
